The purpose of waxing jade:

First, the surface of the jadeite finished product is smooth and bright, increasing the appeal of the product;

Secondly, the wax can enter the fine pits or cracks existing on the surface of the polished jade piece to add to the unevenness, which not only makes the surface of the jade piece smoother, but also prevents the entry of the stain.

The method of waxing is not complicated, there are two main types:

First, the wax

Melt the white vinegar in the vessel, put the jade product into it and cook for several hours, so that the melted wax liquid is fully immersed in the micro-crack or tiny depression of the jade, then the waxed jade is removed, and the air is cooled and cooled. Wipe clean and bright with a clean cotton cloth and use a thin bamboo stick to remove the residual wax layer from the corners. This method is suitable for jade small jade

Second, spray wax

Larger jade pieces are not suitable for placing wax in the pan. They should be placed in a steamer or oven for heating. The temperature is usually controlled at 70-80 degrees Celsius, and then the paraffin powder is hanged or spread on each surface of the jade. The wax powder immediately melts into the liquid and invades the micro-cracks or pits of the jade pieces, and the ice spreads on the surface of the jade. Finally wipe off the excess wax with a towel. This method is called spraying wax. For the waxing of larger jade pieces, the method of blowing the air can be used, and then the method of spraying the wax can be used.

Finally, I want to tell you that the waxed jade is more beautiful than the waxy jade. But the object has two poles, the light green jade jade is better seen after waxing, and the gray jade jade is more dusty after waxing, which is more unsightly than not waxing. This jade person should pay attention to this.
