What is an emerald species? It is a comprehensive standard for merchants to classify according to the texture, transparency, cracks and structure of jade, which distinguishes between crystalline structure and texture. In some areas, in addition to “species”, “water” is also emphasized, while the latter focuses on describing transparency.

There are seven "species" in the high-end jadeite that deserve our attention. Among them, glutinous rice, golden silk, and bean (green) jade are the most common, the price is relatively "approachable" and the texture is better, novice collectors can also "gold rush" from it. Ice type and glass type belong to high-grade jade. The price of jewelry is basically over 10,000 yuan, and the price of bracelet is as high as several hundred thousand yuan.

At present, jadeite can be divided into yellow, green, white, purple, black, white floating flowers, red seven colors, the most common are yellow and green (green) colors, but also ancient Chinese "ç¿¡" and Synonyms of "Cui".

From the perspective of texture components, green jade has the highest number of top products with less impurities and high transparency. However, the price difference of green jade is relatively large, and the gray cyan product is also treated with a unit price of 10 yuan. The glass is filled with green jewellery and the unit price is as high as 100 million yuan.

In recent years, the purple emerald has sprung up in the auction market. However, due to the poor internal crystallization and low transparency of this type of jadeite, there are not many top products. Among the mid- to high-end products of 7-color jade, the price of green jade is the first, followed by purple and white jade, followed by yellow and red jade, and then the white jade, black jade.

Glass type: The shape is like glass, the clarity is very high, the structure is fine, the inside is basically unable to see the cotton wool volatiles, mainly in the whole green color; occasionally there are white flowers floating in the blue or floating green ribbon varieties, the price is relatively low. Not all glass types are expensive, and small particles of glass do not have much collection value.

Ice species: The ice species on the market are mainly based on color, white, full green, and white floating flowers. The texture is like rock sugar and ice, rare cracks, pure color, but the transparency is slightly lower than that of glass. The cotton-like material is less and the particles are uniform.

Gold silk: The biggest feature of this variety is that the color arrangement is distributed in a ribbon shape, and is often arranged in parallel, and the silk ribbon is darker in color, showing a sub-transparent to translucent state, and the internal crystal is more water-soluble. It is a better category in the mid-range jade, with a fine texture, but it is small in the market and easy to be copied by counterfeiters.

Glutinous rice varieties (also known as hibiscus species): It is a better mid-range jadeite in the market. It is divided into a variety of color categories such as 糯 翠 翠, fine bottom, hail floating flower, and 糯 bottom belt. In terms of texture, the internal crystal shape is the same as that of glutinous rice. It should be transparent, not wet, and sticky. Less impurities and good color are also sold as high-grade jade.

Bean species (bean green): In the counters of mainland shopping malls, bean jade is more common, the colors are not uniform, but the texture has something in common, and the coarser particles can be seen in the table. The reason why it is called bean is because its particles are similar to pods, although the transparency is not high, but the jade has a higher gloss and bright color. In the Guangzhou market, the price difference of beans and jadeite is quite different, several times and ten times different. The price difference mainly depends on color and gloss.

Oil green species: oil green jade is also the main product in the mainland market. The crystals of this kind of jadeite are micro-columnar, fiber (crystal-transformed) aggregates, the color of Jiaze gray, blue two-color, or green mixed with yellow, more light green and dark blue, the color is dull and unclear, but the transparency is better. .

Horse teeth: This is the more common type of mid-range jade, the color is green and bright, but the crystal size is small, opaque, porcelain-like jade, sometimes there will be very fine white silk in the green, collection The value is not high.
