Nowadays, the popular amber on the market, one is beeswax, the other is bluepo, and the third is that there is a creature inside, which is more common as insects. So, how do you distinguish between amber and natural amber?

1. Look at the color: The color of natural amber is usually yellow, brown, red, etc.; the color of pressed amber is generally orange or orange.

2. Under the orthogonal polarizer, the reconstructed amber exhibits abnormal birefringence, and the typical characteristic of natural amber is partial brightening.

3. The density of reconstituted amber is slightly lower than that of natural amber, generally 1.03 to 1.05 g/cm3.

4. Internal characteristics: The early production of reconstituted amber often contains directionally arranged flat elongated bubbles and a distinct flow structure, and produces a clear and cloud-like strip, and a darker surface oxide layer is visible between the amber particles. The new type of reconstituted amber has a high transparency, no cloud-like and flowing structure, and is expressed as a syrup-like agitated structure, sometimes containing a final melt. The untreated amber contains mostly round bubbles and usually contains animal and plant debris.

5. Under short-wave ultraviolet light, reconstituted amber is stronger than natural amber, and reconstituted amber is bright white-like blue fluorescence. Natural amber is light blue-white, light blue or light yellow.

6. By magnifying observation, it can be seen that the reconstructed amber may have a granular structure or a "blood filament"-like structure, and the adjacent debris on the polished surface may show an uneven line due to different hardness.
