The designer brands of Milan Fashion Week continue to play their part: using advanced fabrics. Luxurious materials reinterpret the current prevailing themes and make them more advanced, such as the Ivy Academy Wind and the 90's sporty style, which have been revamped with bold stitching, new plaids and plush textures.
The increased proportions and box sizes are still popular, creating a cocoon-style wrapping feeling for long-length felt coats, plush hoodies and hooded thin windbreakers.
Plaid is the main pattern, and it is also a new field worthy of exploration and development. From daring new color and patch stitching, to printing, lamination and plush, various designs of check patterns are available.
Bordeaux burgundy, camel, purple and brown are the key colors and are equally applicable to the two themes of retro sport style and college style. Warm yellow eye-catching is the new color of the coat.
90's movement style
The young streetwear style continues to absorb the elements of the 90s, using more stylish, more luxurious fabrics to enhance the high quality. Everything from Palm Angels' full-length checkered print and Dolce & Gabbana's graffiti slogan to the GCDS's cartoon intarsia sweaters are designed with complications. Casual color jogging trousers contrast with contrast stitching trims to create a custom sporty look.
Ivy Academy Winds Return
The new college style was particularly noticeable on Milan's T stage. The all-encompassing mix of patterns and casual garments updated the style of the college. Newly-colored, traditional Scottish tartan and daring eye-catching checkered fabric lends style to the style of the school. Gorgeous browns, greens and camels match sporty pinstripes and striking Fair Isle checks.
Bordeaux Burgundy
The rich burgundy is still wild, and it infuses all kinds of individual items and materials with a touch of elegance. Maroon is suitable for making overcoats, but it can also be used for full-body modeling (see No. 21). Super-saturated raspberry is suitable for street-style wind movements, with warm camouflage effect is also very good (see GCDS); but also with high-visibility orange (such as Dolce & Gabbana design).
Bright yellow
Warm yellow is a new color for tactile outdoor apparel. Bright yellow is used in plush hooded thin trench coats and luxury woolly lambskin lapels. It is best suited for brightening classic tobacco-coloured tooling. The saturated mustard color makes Dolce & Gabbana's velvet feast more luxurious, especially when paired with black and white.
Hazelnut brown
It evolved from the last season's coke bronze color. When the soft earth is brown and used for different materials, it can highlight retro, but also can have a sense of the future. Hazelnut brown is very wild, from the medieval dresses of MSGM, to the 70's fashion clothes of Pal Zileri and Concept Korea, to the metallic modern dresses of Marni and Prada, all use hazelnut brown.
Gray and pink
The use of pink is constantly evolving. These warm gray and pink colors are suitable for winter/winter 2018/19. The men's wear market has long been adapted to pink, pastel pink has become a neutral alternative, and Pal Zileri and Etro's trousers have been updated; Concept Korea and Miaoran's enlarged jackets are very avant-garde.
purple
Dark purple is an important fashion color for winter/winter season 2018/19. It makes casual sports items more advanced, including sports jackets, satin bomber jackets, sweat pants, and tops. Cyan, indigo, tannin blue, and black are all high-level backgrounds against purple. Red, bright pink, and yellow bold accents add vitality to purple. Magliano's traditional custom plaids are modern after being refurbished with patterns.
Camel
Camel colors occupy a place on Milan's T station. They are extremely attractive across seasons, perfecting elegant jackets and ready-to-wear clothes. The camel and brown lambskin and corduroy can be superimposed on each other, and the whole body of the same color gives the textured surface a long-lasting classic sense.
Box hooded thin windbreaker
The protective jacket is particularly eye-catching on Milan's T stage, and the box-type version gives the casual hooded thin windbreaker a heavy texture. From Prada's iconic Pocone Nylon and Fendi's Tech Plaid Fabrics, to GCDS's plush plush and MSGM's random fleece texture, all styles combine outdoor style and urban feel.
Loose double breasted suit
Utilizing the popular 80s elements and the current increased version, loose double-breasted suits are elegantly styled for every style. From MSGM's Stripe Turtleneck and Isabel Benenato's simple T-shirts to Versace's stacking neckline, there are plenty of other styles apart from the tie.
Measuring coat
Combining the sculpting style with the concept of simple layering, the volumetric coat is a representative commercial design in the current increased version of the model, such as the soft customized models introduced by Dirk Bikkembergs, Federico Curradi and Sartorial Monk. Sunnei's design has a modern attire; Marni's large-sized checkered parka is full of personality.
Plaid trousers
The traditional Plaid trousers became more casual during the fall/winter season of 2018/19. The new Scottish tartan, gingham, and checkered fabrics increase in size to match the casual work jackets (MSGM), slogan sweaters, and tannins. After the new color matching and splicing techniques were distributed in the punk style, the design of Palm Angels deserves attention. From straight pants to wide leg pants, Magliano has introduced a wide range of versions.
Wide leg pants
Wide leg pants are still one of the most influential pants in the avant-garde market. From utility models and tooling, to elegant tannins, corduroy pants and twill pants, everything has changed. The pleated front and pleats make the feel of the wide-leg trousers different, and the MSGM brings a high-end style.
On the playground
Sportswear has become the basic style of men's daily wear, and the main sportswear upgrade will bring you a richer choice. Yoshio Kubo, GCDS, and Frankie Morello continue to use retro 90's themes to advance fabric stitching and patchwork stitching; MSGM prefers minimalist shapes. Although the combination of sweatshirts and jogging pants is outstanding, Dolce & Gabbana still prefers sports tops.
New style check
Plaid dominates Milan's T-tables, especially coats and suits. Whether it is a checkered printed nylon piece (such as Represent and Palm Angels) or a Fendi, the new design brings the check to a new level. Tactile design explores brushed textures. Prada's work best reflects this; leather and furry plush can also be used as trims. Refer to the works of GCDS.
plush
Tactile surfaces make young coats and hoodies younger, including zippered fleece tops, hooded hooded thin windbreakers and bomber jackets. The bright colors of Dolce & Gabbana and the GCDS logo add a touch of fun to the design; Teddy’s fleece contrasts with Beyond Closet’s cartoon image sweater. Dirk Bikkembergs and Ermenegildo Zegna use comfortable brushed surfaces to neutralize practical styling.
Splicing design
The new splicing design brings bold updates to the jacket, creating a modern nomadic style. From Versace's contrastive mix fabrics and Dirk Bikkembergs' jacquard blocks to Marni's checkerboard quilt, the splicing design is used. Fendi's all-inclusive print blends graffiti slogans with abstract camouflage; Yoshio Kubo's decorative brocade patterns exude vintage charm.
Decorative pattern
In the autumn/winter of 2018/19, a large number of decorative patterns were used. The Milan Fashion Collection emphasized the continuous transformation of the boundaries, and the difference between the Japanese and the evening wear was further weakened. Dolce & Gabbana blends casual wear and evening dress with gorgeous jacquard and embroidered velvet. MSGM's flower pattern fleece contrasts with BIUU's decadent wind silk satin and Versace's flashy printed velvet.
