The colors are drawn from the original elements of the African scrolls in these works: sunlight, sea, and land. Waterfront blue, dark brown and lava red extend the natural palette. The cloth selection portrays a feminine silhouette, such as the ethereal lightness and thinness, and the detail of the hunting costume is also throughout. Printing is the focus, and batik, animal prints and marine elements are blended with abstract collage techniques.
